During the Dampspektakel 2018, further actions will take place at various stations.


The tourist information in Gerolstein has for the days 28./29. April and May 1 (so on all days on which the locomotives go to and from Gerolstein) laced a colorful entertainment program in the park directly at the train station. From information about Gerolstein about delicious food and drinks to free tours of Gerolstein and the Erlöserkirche is something for everyone. And who sits down while enjoying a piece of cake in the park, can see the outgoing and incoming steam locomotives from the front row!


In Schweich the water catching, so the refueling of the steam locomotives with water instead. This alone is exciting, because you can look at the locomotives for a long time in peace. If you want to fortify yourself, you can do so with the Tastebrothers who bring their food truck and offer burgers, fries and cold drinks. In addition, the water is musically accompanied by various local chapels.


Trier Central Station is hosting the photo exhibition "Dampf weltweit" from 23 April to 4 May. More than 30 pictures from 4 continents show the whole fascination of "steam locomotive" in all its facets. Admission is free!


On April 28th and 29th the DB Museum in Koblenz-Lützel will be open from 10am to 6pm. From the station Lützel the museum, which shows an extensive collection of original historical vehicles, is within walking distance (2 km walk). From Koblenz main station you can also take bus line 354 in the direction of Mülheim-Kärlich. For visitors with a ticket for the Dampfspektakel, discounted admission fees apply!
